They will be associated with the Journal and among other assignments, will help in the digitalization and indexing of the journal.

Indian Journal of Medical Research: Research Assistant - Two Posts

Qualifications: Essential: Post-graduate degree in Biological Sciences. Desirable: (i) Degree in Library Science from a recognized University. (ii) Diploma in Computer Application from an institute of repute/ recognized by DDE. (iii) Working experience in analyzing some bibiliographical packages, and (iv) Basic knowledge of performing CD-ROM and on-line based searches including patent databases. Age: 28 years (as on 31.3.08). Salary: Rs 8325/- per month (consolidated).

Data Processing Assistant - One Post

Qualifications: Essential: Graduate with experience in data processing. Desirable: (i) Diploma / Certificate (1 yr) in Computer Application from reputed insitute, (ii) Experience in Packages like FoxPro / Winsis and (iii) Experience in converting text files to database files and processing of such files. Job Requirement: Processing, Programming development of databases, computerization of scientific information etc. Age: 28 years (as on 31.3.2008). Salary: Rs 8325/- per month (consolidated).

Intellectual Property Rights Unit (IPR): Sr Research Fellow (Two)

Qualifications: Essential: Master Degree in Life Sciences with at least 2 years experience in research and / or IPR related work. Desirable: 2 years experience (i) in handling the data on biological patents and (ii) Knowledge of using of patent data bases. Job Requirement: The selected candidates shall work in the Intellectual Property Rights Unit of the ICMR. Salary: Rs 14,000/- pm plus HRA. If suitable candidates are not found of SRF the posts will be downgraded to Research Assistant (Rs 8325/- pm consolidated).

The above posts are purely temporary till the duration of the project. The appointment is terminable with one month notice from either side. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR Benefits of Provident Fund, HRA, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
