Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Pay Scale: Rs 10,000-15,200. Essential Qualifications: (1) At least second-class Master's degree in Journalism/Mass Communication/Public Relations from an Indian or foreign University, or equivalent. (2) Proficiency in either English or Hindi with working knowledge in the other language. (3) At least seven years experience in newspaper publicity or Public Relations Organisations or Government Department handling this type of work. (4) Proven ability to organise, control and coordinate writing and editing activities. Desirable Qualifications: (1) Literary attainments (2) Experience of organizing exhibitions and arranging conducted tours for media. (3) Knowledge of typography, layuout and production of journals and print literature, including proof reading. Age Limit: Below 35 years as on 1.1.2007. No age limit for employees of the NCERT.

Mode of Recruitment: Candidates who fulfil the qualifications and experience criteria will be required to appear for a written test. Candidates who qualify the written test will be invited for interview.
