Research Associate (Tenure post upto 31.3.2009) - Centre for Russian and Central Asian Studies

PhD in Russian/Central Asian Studies. Five years research experience excluding PhD Degree, with publications in repurted periodicals/journals, and books.

Eligibility: Research Associateships are intended for research workers and teachers, preferably below the age of 45 years as on 1st July of the year of Award (55 years in case of women candidates), who have obtained a doctorate degree, have published research work to their credit and have already shown evidence of independent research work. Depending on their merit, the selected candidates may be awarded any of the A, B, C, or D categories of Research Associateship with fixed emoluments of Rs 8,000/- for category A, Rs 8,800/- for category B, and Rs 10,500/- for category C and D. In addition to the fixed pay, they will be entitled to House Rent allowance on the same basis as admissible to other staff of the University, and also an annual contingency grant of Rs 7,500/-. The Award will be initially for a period of three years, extendable for another term not exceeding two years except for posts 'Research Associate (Tenure Post upto 31.3.2010)' & 'Research Associate (Tenure post upto 31.3.2009)'. The application in the prescribed from complete in all respects duly forwarded by the competent authority (for those already in Govt service) should reach the University by 9th March, 2007.
