Trainee Journalists

Category: Journalism

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation with 50 per cent marks. A degree/diploma in journalism is a pre-requisite for applicants in all categories except for law graduates. Age limit upto 25 years. Selected candidates will undergo training in New Delhi for upto a year or more during which they shall receive a handsome stipend. Those with news agency experience will be given preference in all categories. Candidates for Trainee Journalists will have to sit in a written test which will be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai and Channai.

Probationary Journalists

Category: Journalism

Minimum Qualifications: Same as Trainees but candidates should have minimum of three years expereince in mainline journalism, preferably a news agency to be considered for appointment as Probationers. Age limit upto 30 years. Those with news agency experience will be given preference in all categories.

Journalists

Category: Journalism

Experienced, candidates with proven skills in general/legal and business reporting. Experienced News Desk hands are also required. Minimum experience 5 years. Age upto 35 years. Salary commensurate with experience. Those applying in this category need only to send their bio-data with subject of specialization and email it to hrd@pti.in. Those with news agency experience will be given preference in all categories.

All appointees will join at the PTI Headquarters at Delhi but the jobs are transferable anywhere in India depending on the Company's requirements. Most of the current openings are in Delhi and Mumbai.
