Control and Instrumentation Engineering (Plants)Category: Engineering Experience in DCS configuration and programming, and/or PLC programming knowledge preferably in power projects. A good knowledge of power plant process will be advantageous. Candidates with Post Graduate diploma in thermal power plant engineering from NPTI's wil be preferred. | 6. Electrical Engineering (Plants)Category: Engineering Experience in SLD for EHV Switchyard, MV and LV Switchgears & its specifications, transformers, Bus Ducts and it's arrangement layouts, cable sizing, voltage drop checks and auxiliary power supplies. The incumbent should also possess a good knowledge in system studies, load flow studies and short circuit calcuations with exposure in sizing for transformers, battery, DG sets, cable selection, relay protection and coordination, generator protection and synchronizing schemes, PLC based controls, DCS coordination and I/O Lists. | 7. Project Procurement (Plants)Category: Project Management Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with experience in project procurement and logistics. The incumbent should have exposure to supplier selection, supplier assessment & qualification, supplier rating, supplier negotiation, preparation of contract documents, claims management, monioring the progress of sub-orders, sub-contract management, logistics management, resource allocation to project procurement activities. Exposure to procurement tendering activities will be an advantage. | 8. Purchaser of Components (Plants)Category: Engineering Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 5 to 12 years experience in purchasing of components for power plants. The incumbent should have exposure to supplier selection, issue of RFQs, commercial negotiations, cost analysis and placement of purchase orders, claims management, approval and release of payments. The suitable candidate should have product knowledge, negotiation skills, knowledge of contract law and basic financial and commercial understanding. | Positions 1 to 26 are based at New Delhi, positions 27 to 43 based at Vadadara and positions 44 to 51 based at Kolkata. The Incumbent may be required to travel overseas to acquire skills / knowledge on various world-class systems and tools at our ALSTOM offices or at Project Sites.
