Nutrition Specialist - New Delhi

Under the overall guidance of the section chief, responsible for providing timely and quality technical and programmatic support in the area maternal and child nutrition, to the Government counterparts, State Offices and development partners. Responsible for carrying out policy dialogue and policy development, programme planning, implementation and management of on-going programmes, monitoring and evaluation. Supporting in systems strengthening and capacity building on maternal and child nutrition through ICDS and NRHM, including - but not limited to - infant and young child feeding, micronutrient nutrition, anemia control, and care for children with severe acute malnutrition, and / or affected my emergencies/HIV. Qualifications & Experience: Advanced medical degree in Pediatrics, Public Health Nutrition, or Family Health Nutrition. Minimum five years progressively responsible professional work experience in Public Health Nutrition including technical advisory, research and programme management experience in the area of infant and young child nutrition. Fluency in English is essential, knowledge of local working language of the duty station an asset.
