Applications are invited for the position of Research Associates. Selected incumbent will be required to work with High Performance computing facility. The facility caters to supercomputing needs of research staff of Universities and institutes across the country. Besides software, hardware and User support for the facility, there is an opportunity for the incumbent to contribute to research programs in computational Nuclear Physics, Materials Science, Atomic and Molecular Physics and Radiation Biology carried out at the facility. Essential Qualification: Candidates with PhD in Science in the fields of Nuclear Physics, Materials Science, Atomic and Molecular Physics and Radiation Biology. The candidates who have submitted their thesis may also apply. Should have working knowledge of UNIX / LINUX, experience in Fortran / C / C++ Programming and familiarity with the use of standard codes in the candidates' area of specialization. Desirable Qualification: Candidates possessing exposure to parallel distributed and shared memory computing using MPI and Open MP. Exposure to installation, optimization and trouble shooting of parallel computing applications would be added advantage.
