Assistant Professor (Genetics and Evolution)

Classification: GCS Group 'A' Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Field of Selection: Officers under the Central/State Govts/UTs/Autonomous Bodies or Govt Academic Institutions: Organizations: a) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department, or b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience: Essential: Master's degree in Biology/Animal Physiology/Life Sciences/Animal Bio Technology with at least 55% of the marks or, an equivalent grade of 'B' in the 7 points scale with later grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F from a recoginized University or equivalent. Experience: At least 3 years experience in teaching and research in the relevant field of specialization. Desirabe: PhD in relevant subject. Note (i): Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for lecturer conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. Assistant Professor (Wild Animal Breeding)

Experience: At least 3 years experience in teaching and research in the relevant field of specialization. Desirable: PhD in relevant subject. Experience: At least 3 years experience in teaching and research in the relevant field of specialization. Desirable: PhD in relevant subject. Note (i): Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, candidates should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for lecturer conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC. Applications should be forwarded along with Bio-data (in duplicate) in the prescribed proforma (Annexure A) of the eligible candidates whose services can be spared immediately on selection, and certificate from the Forwarding Authority(in proforma Annexure B) along with the following documents: (i)Integrity Certificate (ii) List of major/minor penalities imposed if any, on the official during the last 10 years,(if no penalty has been imposed a 'nil' certificate should be enclosed). (iii) Vigilance clearance certificate. (iv) Attested photocopies of the ACRs for the last five years (attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of an Under Secretary to the Govt of India). Appplications not forwarded through proper channel or those received without the requisite certificate and necessary documents will not be entertained. The candidates who apply for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.
