Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow. Salary: Rs 12,000-00 per month, plus HRA, as per UGC rules. Essential Qualification: MA / MSc in Linguistics or Cognitive Science. Desirable Qualifications: UGC-NET or MPhil or PhD and ability to handle different speech / language processing tools. Job Description: This project is a part of an all India initiative on Language and Cognition, sponsored by the DST. The study that we propose to pursue at JNU involves working on speech sounds of Hindi-Punjabi bilinguals, phonetic and phonemic patterns, followed by a series of experiments on perception and production of L1 & l2 sounds under different conditions.
