Pay Scale - 15000-20000. Essential Qualifications: 1. Graduate of National School of Drama or a recognized Theatre Training Institute or a degree/ diploma in education / child development / psychology from a recognized institution or long experience of acting, designing, composing music, writing and teaching or working with children in theatre. 2. Ability to relate to children. Preferable: (i) Knowledge of dance, music and allied arts. (ii) Experience in direction of plays and stagecraft work. (iii) Experience of non-format teaching. Age: 20-35 years. The appointment for the post of Artist will be made on a consolidated salary slab of Rs 15000-20000 per month. In addition, the appointed artist will be entitled to the other benefits as are permissible to the artist of Repertory Co and TIE Co of NSD. The appointment is on contractual basis, initially for one year only, to be extended up to maximum of five years on the basis of periodic assessment.

The candidates who have completed their training at NSD during 2008-09 academic year, can apply only for one year apprenticeship and will be paid an allowance of Rs 10000/- pm. No TA/DA will be paid by the school for attending the audition / interview. However, SC/ST candidates will be paid 2nd class railway/bus fare by the shortest route from their place of residence to New Delhi and back, on submission of railway/bus receipt for traveling.
