Name of PI and Project: Network Project on Insect Biosystematics (21-17) Dr VV Ramamuthy Principal Investigator / National Coordinator. No: 8*. Emoluments: Rs 18000+HRA or Rs 17000+HRA or Rs 12000+HRA*. Qualifications: Essential: PhD in Entomology or Zoology with spcialization in Entomology or MSc in Entomology or Zoology with specialization in Entomology+* at least two years experience in taxonomic studies. Desirable: Expertise in taxonomy/bio-diversity studies, data processing evidence with publications. * Two or these positions are for the project centres at Chandigarh / Patiala, if suitable candidates are not available for RA, SRF/JRFs will be elected in which case two years experience as essential qualification will be waived. Age maximum 35 years for SRF, 40 years for RA. (Age relaxation of five years of SC/ST & women and three years for OBC candidates).

The above positions are purely temporary and filled on contract basis for an initial period of one year at a time or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier. There is no provision for reengagement after termination of the project. The selected candidate (s) shall not claim for regular appointment(s) at this institute as the fellowship (s) / post (s) are coterminus with the project.
