Scale of Pay: Rs 16,400-450-20,900-500-22,400 (under revision). Essential Qualifications & Experience: 1) Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation with atleast 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade and a consistently good academic record. ii) At least thirteen years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years experience as College Librarian or equivalent. iii) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work. Desirable: MPhil / PhD Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript-keeping. Specialized course in Computer Applications & Networking. Experience in Computer Aided Management of the Library System. Notes: 1. Minimum requirement of qualifications and / or experience may be relaxed in respect of exceptionally outstanding candidates. 2.
