Director General Category: Government jobs Director General is the Chief Executive of the Council, which is financially self-supporting with an independent Board of Governors with the Headquarters in Navi Mumbai. He will report to Chairman and be responsible to the Board. Attributes: Commitment to NSC's mission, thorough professional knowledge on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), dynamic personality, outstanding organizational and administrative ability, leadership skills in planning & raising resources, identifying market needs for NSC's services in different sectors & developing such services, effectively interacting with Govt & other key stakeholders at national & International levels & NSC's counterparts in other countries. Experience: 15 years in the field of OSH, of which at least 7 years should be in a responsible position at senior level in an organization engaged in OSH education & training, research, developing standards / guidelines, consultancy (safety audits, risk assessment, disaster management etc.) OR in a body regulating OSH, OR industry. Candidates with experience of implementing national / international projects / programs, presenting papers in national / international seminars on OSH, and having published papers in reputed journals will be preferred. Qualifications: Essential: Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering of a recognized university or equivalent. Desirable: Recognized qualification in OSH or Master's Degree in Engineering relevant to the essential qualification from a reputed institute. Age: Not exceeding 55 years. Age / experience relaxable for deserving candidates. Pay Band (PB 4): Rs 37,400 - 67,000 + Grade Pay Rs 10,000. Gross Salary: Rs 90,500/- pm (including HRA) at minimum of scale including transport allowance or chauffeur driven car in lieu thereof. Annual increment is 3% of pay in the Pay Band + Grade Pay. Annual remuneration package of Rs 16.77 lakh which includes besides gross salary of Rs 10.86 lakh, quantifiable social benefits totaling to Rs 4,62,136/-, performance award approx Rs 60,000/- and facilities / perks totaling to Rs 70,000/-. Non-quantifiable social benefits include privilege leave of 30 days pa and three LTCs in a block of 4 years. Higher pay may be considered for deserving candidates.
